Returns

Both online and in-store purchases can be returned to your local Auto Value parts store. There is no time limit for a new return or core as long as you have your original purchase receipt.

You may choose to return:

  • Any new item in original packaging and condition.
  • Any used core, as long as it is returned in the box that contained the new product.
  • Any item received in a damaged or defective condition.
  • Any item received in error.

Returning Buy Online Pick Up In-Store Items

Participating Auto Value parts stores can process returns and exchanges of Buy Online Pick Up In-Store purchases with a valid receipt/order confirmation. To find a participating store near you, please use our store locator. The Auto Value stores listed in the store locator should accept returns from shop.autovaluestores.com purchases.

Returning Used Cores

If you have paid a core charge with an in-store purchase or from shop.autovaluestores.com, you are eligible for core credit upon return of the old core unit.

To return a used core to a participating Auto Value parts store, bring the order confirmation/receipt to the store along with the used core unit. To find a participating Auto Value parts store, use our store locator. All stores listed in the store locator should accept used cores for parts purchased in-store or from shop.autovaluestores.com.

Before returning your core, be sure to drain fluids from the core and place it in a plastic bag to prevent leakage. Then pack it in the box that contained the new part you purchased in-store or from shop.autovaluestores.com.
